 Nikola Bubnic
Volunteer Asst Coach
Univ. of San Diego
Bubnic (Belgrade, Serbia) wrapped up his spectacular USD career last season and now joins the Toreros as a volunteer assistant coach. While at USD, Bubnic was named to the All-WCC singles first team three times and was consistently ranked in the ITA's singles top 100 rankings.

In his senior season, Bubnic qualified for the NCAA Singles Championship after posting a 23-8 overall singles record, which included a 7-5 record against ranked opponents.

In his junior year, Bubnic helped the Toreros win their first WCC Championship since 1990. He posted a 26-10 singles record and at one point won 11 consecutive singles matches, playing primarily at the No. 2.

Bubnic had an outstanding sophomore year, posting a 30-6 overall singles record in the fall and spring season. This made him the first USD men's tennis player since Jose Luis Noreiega (31-4 in 1991) to earn 30 singles victories for the combined fall and spring campaign.
