UT sophomore and Houston native Elizabeth Begley reaches the finals of the main singles draw at the Cougar Fall Draw in Houston.
HOUSTON – Texas sophomore Elizabeth Begley reached the finals of the main singles draw in her native Houston Saturday afternoon on day two of the Cougar Fall Draw.
Begley notched a 6-2, 6-2 win over Tamara Slijepcevic of Arkansas State in the semifinals of the scarlet singles draw. Begley will meet an opponent from either Auburn or Oregon in Sunday’s finals.
Freshman Alex Martin was eliminated from the quarterfinals of the black singles draw on day two in Houston.
