LOS ANGELES – Texas junior Elizabeth Begley notched a pair of wins to reach the finals of the pre-qualifying singles draw Saturday evening on day one of the ITA All-American Championships at the Los Angeles Tennis Club.

Begley opened the day with a 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 win over Auburn’s Jennifer Pfeifler.  She added a 6-1, 6-1 win over Missouri’s Rachel Stuhlmann in the pre-qualifying singles round of 32.  Begley will take on either Florida’s Danielle Collins or Virginia’s Stephanie Nauta on Sunday.  A win from Begley would give her a spot in Tuesday’s qualifying singles draw.

Sophomore Lina Padegimaite posted a 6-1, 6-2 win over Old Dominion’s Diana Ivanova but fell in the next round to Yale’s Blair Seideman.
