RALEIGH, N.C. - The NC State women's tennis team received a pair of commitments for the team's 2013 recruiting class, head coach Hans Olsen announced Monday. Liza Fieldsend and Natalia Janowicz will join the Wolfpack beginning in the fall of 2013.

"We are very excited to have Liza and Natalia joining the Wolfpack," said Olsen. "They are both tremendous competitors and they will be an important part of our team in the coming years."

Fieldsend, rated a five-star recruit by tennisrecruiting.net and No. 42 overall on the Babolat National Recruiting List, comes from New Braunfels, Texas. She is the third-ranked player from the Lonestar State. Fieldsend was the winner of the 2012 Houston Superchamp tournament back in May, after winning the Bryan-College Station Superchamp in November of 2011. Among her many accomplishments, Fieldsend led her high school team to four-straight state team titles, while playing in the No. 1 singles position. Fieldsend is the daughter of Jeremy and Debbi Fieldsend. Her mother, Debbi, played tennis at LSU.

Janowicz, is also a five-star recruit and ranked 60th overall on the latest Babolat National Recruiting List. The Palm Bay, Fla., native, is the 11th-ranked prospect in the state of Florida for the Class of 2013. Janowicz finished fourth at the Girl's 18's Sectional in January 2012, before reaching the round of 64 in the Girl's 18's National Clay Court Championships in July. Janowicz is the daughter of Robert and Beata Janowicz, and has a sister, Olivia, who was a member of back-to-back national championship teams at the University of Florida.
