SKILLMAN, N.J. - The women's tennis team enters the season as the 10th ranked team in the nation, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced recently. The Crimson Tide also has four singles players and a pair of doubles teams in the national standings.

Representing the team in singles is junior Mary Anne Macfarlane, who is ranked No. 12 nationally, followed by senior Alexa Guarachi at No. 13. Freshman Maya Jansen comes in at No. 59 and fellow freshman Natalia Maynetto stands at No. 105.

In doubles, Guarachi and Macfarlane make up the No. 2 team in the nation, while Macfarlane is also ranked as part of the No. 60 doubles tandem with Jansen.

The women kick off the 2013 portion of their schedule on Jan. 18, at the National Collegiate Tennis Challenge in Palm Desert, Calif.
