SKILLMAN, NJ (Feb. 26) Courtesy of the ITA:  -- This is the first week that the ITA Division I College Tennis Rankings are based on a computer point-per-match formula, causing several major changes throughout the rankings.  However, the Virginia men and North Carolina women managed to stay atop the rankings for another consecutive week.

Follow the Leader: For the men, following Virginia is (in order): USC, UCLA, Duke, Oklahoma, Kentucky, Ohio State, Tennessee, Georgia, and Mississippi State.  On the women’s side, North Carolina is followed by Duke, UCLA, Florida, Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia, Northwestern, Cal, and Nebraska.

Conference Count: Men’s Top 25: SEC – 7; ACC, Big Ten, & Pac-12 – 4; Ivy League & Big 12 – 2; Conference USA & WCC – 1. Five different conferences placed at least one team in the Top 10 with the SEC leading the way with four teams, while the ACC and Pac-12 placed two.  Women’s Top 25: SEC – 6; ACC – 5; Pac-12 & Big Ten – 4; Big 12 – 3; Big East, Conference USA, & Colonial Athletic Association – 1.  Four SEC teams landed in the Top 10, while the Pac-12, ACC, and Big Ten had two.
