Flushing, N.Y. - Robin Anderson came up just short in her bid to claim back-to-back singles titles at the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, falling in straight sets in Sunday's final at the USTA's Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.
Anderson, the 2012 winner in New York, suffered a 6-3, 6-2 loss to top-seeded Jamie Loeb of North Carolina on Sunday. The showdown was a rematch of the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American final, a match that was also won by Loeb in straight sets. Anderson, the No. 2 seed in New York, was looking to become the first repeat women's singles champion at the ITA Indoors since Aurelia Miseviciute of Arkansas won back to back titles in 2007 and 2008.

Anderson had not lost a set in her four wins heading into Sunday's final. She finishes the fall season with an 8-2 record.
