TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Head coach Jenny Mainz announced Friday the addition of Bennett Dunn and Aryn Green for the 2014-15 season.

"We are excited about welcoming Bennett Dunn and Aryn Greene to our Alabama family," said Mainz. "They are the right people to help move our program forward. Aryn and Bennett both come from rooted families with high values and character. They understand the commitment and responsibility that's expected at The University of Alabama. Their passion to play for the Alabama Crimson Tide is infectious."

Dunn, from Plantation Fla., is a five-star recruit according to TennisRecruiting.net and ranked as high as No. 16 in the nation and No. 4 in the state of Florida. She won the 2013 Girls 18s USTA Florida Bobby Curtis Junior State Championships in singles and doubles and is a two-time sectional champion. Dunn played high school tennis in sixth grade for Lake Highland Prep, leading the team to the state championship as an 11-year old. That year, she also finished as the individual state runner-up. Dunn trains at the Harold Solomon Tennis Institute and will graduate from Broward Virtual School.

"Bennett has a bulldog mindset," said Mainz. "She is a fierce competitor who will make you play extra balls every point. She and Aryn share that steadfast attitude that we need at Alabama. Bennett's game is centered around hard work. She's athletic and strong and relies on her grit and tenacity to earn the edge. Bennett's discipline and determined spirit will push our team to be at its best."

Greene, from Alpharetta, Ga., was also tabbed a five-star recruit on TennisRecruiting.net and ranked as high as No. 36 in the nation in 2013 and is No. 5 in the state of Georgia. She earned a bronze ball in doubles at the National Clay Court Championships and won a pair of state championships at Mount Pisgah Christian School. Off the court, Greene is a member of the National Honor Society.

"Aryn has worked diligently to improve her game and is willing to be uncomfortable in order to take her game to the next level," explained Mainz. "She will not shy away from hard work and is intent on making a decisive impact in our program. Aryn is a team player and will help cultivate the team atmosphere that we pride ourselves on at Alabama. She acquires the characteristics we value the most; strong character and integrity, solid work ethic, pursuit of excellence and dogged mentality."
