SKILLMAN, N.J. –The University of Miami women’s tennis team checked in at No. 9 in the ITA Women’s Team Rankings on Wednesday. In addition, two players were listed in the singles poll and two doubles teams in the doubles poll.

Stephanie Wagner debuted at No. 32 in the singles poll, jumping 20 spots from the preseason rankings that were released in August. Also remaining in the poll was Kelsey Laurente at No. 64.

On the doubles end, the duo of Monique Albuquerque and Clementina Riobueno came in at No. 29 and Brittany Dubins and Wagner were ranked 55th.

The 2013 Hurricanes return this spring with an identical lineup to last year’s squad that won the ACC Championship and reached the program’s fifth straight Elite Eight.

Wagner finished the fall season with a 12-3 overall record, including four wins against nationally ranked opponents. Laurente wrapped up her fall season with eight victories, two of which came against ranked foes.

After a stellar spring season in 2013, Albuquerque and Riobueno picked up right where they left off this fall, posting a 9-3 record and a doubles championship at the Miami Fall Invite. Dubins and Wagner, who played just seven matches together last spring, meshed together this fall and that success was reflected in their 4-2 record.

The Hurricanes begin their spring season in exactly two weeks from today at the Miami Spring Invite on Jan. 17 at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
