MELBOURNE, Australia - Virginia alumni Treat Huey (Class of 2008) and Dominic Inglot (Class of 2009) have advanced to the doubles quarterfinals of the 2014 Australian Open. It is the second consecutive Grand Slam tournament that the duo has advanced to the quarterfinals.

Huey and Inglot will look for their first career Grand Slam semifinal on Tuesday when they play the duo of Eric Butorac and Raven Klaasen in the quarterfinals. The match will start in the early hours of Tuesday morning (ET) and can be seen live online on ESPN3.com or on the DirecTV Australian Open Mix.

Huey and Inglot are the No. 12 seed at the tournament and reached the quarterfinals with three wins. In the first round they rallied for a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Colombians Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah. In the second round, they downed Italians Andreas Seppi and Potito Starace 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-1. In the round of 16, Huey and Inglot upset seventh-seeded Rohan Bopanna of India and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi of Pakistan, 6-4, 7-6(1).

Butorac and Klaasen, who are unseeded, reached the quarterfinals with a 7-6(9), 6-4 upset of world No. 1 Bob and Mike Bryan in the round of 16. The pair is coached by Gareth Keating, who played collegiately at Indiana State for Brian Boland.

Inglot is currently ranked a career-high No. 28 in the ATP Doubles Rankings, while Huey is at No. 22, one spot shy of his career-high of No. 21. Both will likely have new career high ATP rankings next week following their performance at the Australian Open.
