INDIANAPOLIS - In addition to competing in the NCAA Championships as a team Alabama will also be represented in the NCAA Doubles Championship as Maya Jansen and Erin Routliffe were selected to the field of 32. Jansen and Routliffe earned the No. 4 seed, automatically giving the duo All-America honors from the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

This is the second-straight season Alabama has had an All-American duo as Mary Anne Daines and Alexa Guarachi earned the honor a year ago. Jansen and Routliffe are the third team in program history to achieve the feat.

As the Crimson Tide's No. 1 duo for nearly the entire season, Jansen and Routliffe have a 14-4 record together, beating nine nationally-ranked opponents, including the No. 2 team in the nation twice. Perhaps their biggest win of the season came on March 23, when they won a 10-point super tiebreaker to clinch the 4-3 victory against Florida, which was the Tide's first against the Gators.

Additionally, Daines was selected as the fifth alternate in the NCAA Singles Championship, while she and partner Danielle Spielmann are the fourth alternate in doubles.

In all, Alabama has had 16 NCAA singles qualifiers and 12 doubles contenders in program history. Last season, Guarachi became the first Alabama player to advance to the NCAA Singles Championship semifinals, while she and Daines made it to the doubles semifinals.

Singles and doubles competition will take place May 21-26 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Ga.
