BOISE, Idaho - The Boise State tennis programs will be kicking off their “AD In for Boise State Tennis” campaign this Sunday at the Appleton Tennis Center on campus. The event starts at 11:00 a.m. with a fun, high-energy adult clinic with both tennis teams, followed by a gourmet lunch. The day will close with a series of exhibition matches beginning around 1 p.m. featuring student-athletes against clinic participants.

Boise State men’s and women’s tennis are poised to become a NCAA powerhouse. We have the momentum and record to do it, but need help to catapult the men’s team into the top 20 on a regular basis and the women’s program into the top 45 rankings by 2016.

To compete and win at the top tier of collegiate tennis depends on our ability to recruit more elite players and compete in more tournaments against the “best of the best”.

The Ad In for Boise State Tennis fundraising drive is a special campaign to raise an additional $316,000 by 2016 to help the teams achieve their national ranking goals. The money raised will assist both programs in doubling their budgets for recruiting and competing at the highest level, as well as fund key equipment needs over the next three years.

Key Achievements by the Men’s Team include:
Ended 2014 season ranked No. 29 (28-5)
Won 14 conference championships
Qualified 15 times for NCAA tournament
Undefeated in Mountain West Conference Tournament play since joining the league in 2012, winning three Mountain West Championships (2012-14)

Key Achievements by the Women’s Team include:
Returned to Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) national rankings at No. 73 in 2014
ITA All-Academic Team the past four years with a team record GPA of 3.55 (two 4.0 student-athletes) in 2014
