LAS VEGAS, Nev. (10-23-2016) - Kyle Buttes and Jack Heslin’s impressive run in doubles at the 2016 ITA Mountain Regional came up short on Sunday as the sophomore tandem fell 6-2, 6-2 to the 42nd-ranked duo of Alex Gasson and Yannick James from Denver.
The future looks bright for Boise State men’s tennis with Butters and Heslin leading the way in doubles. The Kiwi Konnection went 4-1 this week at the regional and are now 6-2 this fall. The New Zealanders were the last remaining Broncos in the tournament.
Next up for Boise State is the Gopher Invitational at Minneapolis, Minn., Nov. 4-6.
