Final Stats

THIBODAUX, La. - The Nicholls State University women's tennis team suffered a 4-3 setback today in the Colonel Tennis Complex to Southern Illinois.

The Colonels (4-5) secured the double point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, but only managed two wins in singles play, which cost the squad the match.

Emerging in singles for Nicholls were junior Natalia Zamora and senior Sanja Stanojcic with Zamora winning 6-2, 7-5 at the No. 2 spot and Stanojcic capturing a 6-4, 6-4 win at No. 5.

The Colonels will be back in action on Saturday at Southeastern La. The conference match is set for 1 p.m.
