Lake Forest, IL - Disappointing a large crowd of Forester fans on Senior Day, the Robert Morris Women's Tennis team won its sixth straight match, taking a 6-3 road victory over homestanding Lake Forest College in comeback fashion on October 6, 2010, in Lake Forest, IL.

It appeared as if the Lady Eagles' winning streak was in danger after the Foresters took the first two doubles matches by identical 8-2 marks, then grabbed a win when RMU's Katie Jensen fell 2-6, 7-5 in the first singles contest.

But RMU came back to capture six straight matches and notch the win.  Karyn Emeralda and Ana Kostic soundly thrashed their doubles opponent, before the singles matches devolved into a "love fest" as Ana Kostic, Alejandra Gamboa, Karyn Emeralda, and Amy Gil all swept their opponents 6-0, 6-0 ("love" is the tennis term for a zero score).

Lady Eagle Sammi McQueen also won her first set 6-0 over Nicole Stroner, but the LFC senior was not about to let her collegiate career end in so ignominious a fashion.  She fought back and took the second set 6-0 from McQueen, but the RMU star forced the LFC senior to yield to the mighty Eagle, winning the super tie-breaker 10-5 to close out the 6-3 win for the Lady Eagles.

The victory improves the Lady Eagles season slate to 6-2, the best record in the program's history.  They return to action on Saturday, October 9, 2010, when the Lady Eagles host St. Ambrose Univeristy (IA) and the Calumet College of St. Joseph (IN) in a tri-match at the Daly Millennium Courts on Chicago's Lake Front.
