Closing its busiest week of the season, the Liberty women's tennis team will host a pair of Big South matches this weekend. The Lady Flames will welcome Campbell for a 2 p.m. match, Friday, before Winthrop comes to Lynchburg on Saturday for a 10 a.m. meeting.  Saturday's match will cap off the team's sixth match in seven days.

Winners of their last five, and eight of their last nine, the Lady Flames (9-10) will look to lift their conference mark this weekend. On Tuesday, Liberty downed Radford, 4-3, to stand at 2-3 in Big South meetings for 2012.

Three Lady Flames currently hold singles win streaks of at least four matches. Alexandra Sheeran has won her last four contests, while senior Carol Lobel has claimed victory in her last five.  Cameron Richard holds the hottest streak, taking each of her last six singles contests.

The Camels are currently 9-4, despite having lost their last two matches. The defeats came to conference opponents Coastal Carolina and Gardner-Webb, both by 4-3 margins. Making its return to the Big South this season, the Camels are 1-3 so far in conference meetings.

Karolina Chernaya leads Campbell from the No. 1 slot, owning a 9-4 mark.  Tamara Stanic owns the same record, playing in the No. 2 position. In doubles, Chernaya and Borislava Nikolova have been a formidable pair, going 10-1 in No. 1 matches.

Winthrop will then visit the Lady Flames on Saturday, in a 10 a.m. match. Despite being 8-10 overall, the Eagles are 4-0 in Big South matches this season. The team has played a strong schedule this season, including four matches against ACC competition.

Yasmine Alkema has held strong in the lead position, going 11-4 this season.  She is on a five match win streak.  Giovanna Portioli is another 11-match winner, at 11-6.  Alkema and Andressa Garcia have been unbeatable in conference matches this season at 4-0, and are 11-5 overall as the No. 1 doubles duo.

Live match updates from Liberty's Hershey Tennis Courts will be available for both Friday's and Saturday's matches.
