The doubles team of seniors David O'Hare and Joe Salisbury had their run in the ITA All-American main draw come to an end in the quarterfinals with a loss to the UCLA team of Marcos Giron and Mackenzie McDonald in the quarterfinals Friday afternoon. The tournament-ending loss for the Tigers came on the heels of an 8-5 upset of the No. 6 ranked Mississippi State team of Jordan Angus and Malte Stropp earlier in the day. McDonald and Giron entered the ITA All-Americans unranked, but are coming off a win in the USA Futures 24 event last weekend.

The run to the quarterfinals of the doubles main draw was the deepest run in school history for a Tigers' tandem. The duo was just the third in Memphis history to appear in the ITA All-American Main Draw, following in the footsteps of Ben Stapp and Lee Taylor Walker in 2002 andJames Spence and Alex Jago in 2007. Stapp and Walker lost in the first round in their appearance in the main draw, while Spence and Jago made it to the Round of 16 before falling to the defending national champions from Ohio State.

The Tigers will all be back on the courts again in one weekend, participating in the ITA Ohio Valley Championships, Oct. 11-15th. This year's regional tournament will be hosted by the University of Tennessee.
