The University of Memphis men's tennis duo of David O'Hare and Joe Salisbury earned a spot in the ITA National Indoor Championships with an 8-6 victory in the doubles finals of the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championships Monday morning. The Tigers defeated the team of David Fox and Victor Cornea from Middle Tennessee to earn the program's first-ever regional doubles crown.

With the regional championship title, the Tigers now qualify for the USTA/ITA Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, Nov. 7-10th at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y. They are one of just 20 college doubles teams from around the country to qualify for the doubles portion of the event.

It has already been a historic fall for the Tigers. They now have two wins over top 10 programs, including win over the country's top ranked doubles team in the semifinals of this weekend's tournament. After becoming the first doubles team in school history to advance to the quarterfinals of the ITA All-American, they came out this weekend and put together the deepest run in school history in the doubles draw of the event.

The team will switch modes from indoor hardcourts to outdoor clay in the coming week, as a majority of the roster will compete in the USTA Players Choice Open in Birmingham, Ala., beginning on Thursday.
