Tennis Live: A few years ago you were the rookie of the year in the ACC. How would you say your college career has been for the past three and half years?

Todd Paul: I feel my college career is going well. I picked up some big wins my sophomore and junior years. Right now I am just trying to hold my ranking this year. Hopefully I start playing well and get some big wins.

Tennis Live: People often call you the next James Blake, which is a huge compliment. You both come from the Connecticut and were top players in New England. How far do you want to take it after college?

Todd Paul: I’ll take as far as I can go. I’ll see how I do next year. I’ll play some futures and hopefully get some points and work from there.

Tennis Live: You played in the Pilot Pen quailies and won a match. How do you feel you fared against the pro level.

Todd Paul: I thought I did alright. I hung in there and I know my game is capable of beating them. It is just a matter of working on a few things and playing with a little more confidence in certain situations, but I feel I am right there.

Tennis Live: What are your individual goals this year?

Todd Paul: I want to NCAA in singles and help the team go as far as we can. I definitely think we have the potential, so it’s all about capitalizing on our talent doing as well as we can.

Tennis Live: What is it going to take to win the NCAA singles title?
