The Cal Poly Athletics Department announced today that it has reached a two-year agreement with an option for a third with ESPN Radio 1280 to broadcast Mustang sports.
The deal will include all football, men¹s basketball and baseball games along with limited volleyball, women¹s basketball and softball games.
³We are excited about our agreement with ESPN Radio and look forward to a good working relationship,² said Associate Athletics Director Chris Baker. ³To have all our sports on the same network is great for our fans. They will always know where to find Cal Poly sports.²
Along with the live broadcasts, ESPN 1280 will make the games available live online at www.espnradio1280.com with podcast
downloads available for fans missing the live action.
A coaches show featuring Mustang head coaches and special guests will air weekly.
ESPN 1280 will air extended pregame shows with a ³College Game Day² type atmosphere before many home events starting with the football team¹s home opener against Weber State on Sept. 15.
The station¹s first broadcast will be the football team¹s season opener on Sept. 1, at Texas State.
