"I think it's going to be an awesome experience to showcase our facility and all the support that we have for tennis in Champaign-Urbana," women's coach Michelle Dasso said. "I think the volunteers will help make it a special experience for all the players and the coaches. Illinois is a special place for tennis, and this is our opportunity to show that. We are looking to make this a great and unique experience for everyone involved."

The Illini men have played their way to the NCAA Championships for 17 straight seasons and have advanced to the Round of 16 12 times in that span. Illinois has hosted first- and second-round action 13 times in the past 14 years.

The Orange and Blue women have made 11 appearances in the NCAA Championships, reaching the Round of 32 in 2001, 2003 and 2009.
