SKILLMAN, NJ (Feb. 27): Courtesy of the ITA  -- The first ITA Division II National Team Ranking of 2013 has been released, with the Armstrong Atlantic men and women claiming the top spots.  For the men, it is the fifth consecutive time they have been voted as the No. 1 team in the nation, while the women have been selected as the top team in three straight ranking releases.

Follow the Leader: For the men, following Armstrong Atlantic is (in order): West Florida, Lynn, Barry, Hawaii Pacific, Rollins, Columbus State, Lander, Augusta State, and Oklahoma Christian.  For the women, following Armstrong Atlantic is: BYU Hawaii, Abilene Christian, Barry, Hawaii Pacific, Columbus State, Saint Leo, Lynn, California (PA), and West Florida.

Conference Count: Men’s Top 25: Peach Belt – 6; Pac-West and Sunshine State – 4; Lone Star – 3; Gulf South and Heartland – 2; Great America, CACC, GLVC, and MIAA – 1.  Four Peach Belt teams are ranked inside the Top 10 as are three Sunshine State teams.  Women’s Top 25: Sunshine State – 8; Peach Belt – 4; Pac-West – 3; Lone Star – 2; PSAC, Gulf Coast, Heartland, GLVC, ECC, and MIAA – 1. There are also two schools that are Independent that are in the women’s Top 25. Three Sunshine State teams are ranked inside the Top 10 as are two Peach Belt and Pac-West teams.
