WACO, Texas - Baylor's tennis teams will gather Tuesday afternoon to watch the 2013 NCAA Championship Selection Show at 4 p.m. CT. The watch party, which will be in the Stone Room in the Ferrell Center, is free and open to the public.
NCAA.com will have coverage of the men's bracket unveiling from 4-4:30 p.m., followed by the women's bracket release from 4:30-5 p.m. Refreshments will be provided.
All tennis fans are encouraged to join the teams for the selection show as the men's program seeks its 16th-straight NCAA selection and the women look to participate in their 14th postseason all-time.
The first and second rounds of the NCAA Tennis Championships are scheduled for May 10-13 at 16 four-team sites in both the men's and women's tournament. The winner of each of the 16 sites on both sides will earn a bid to the finals site in Urbana, Ill., May 16-27. Complete team brackets will be posted on NCAA.com approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the show.
For the last seven years, the Lady Bears have hosted first and second round NCAA action, while the men have hosted the opening rounds seven out of the last 10 years.
Both men's and women's teams were Big 12 regular season champions. The Lady Bears are currently 16-14 and ranked No. 19 in the country, while the men are ranked No. 13 with a 20-5 record.
The fields for the individual singles and doubles portion of the tournament will be announced no later than 5 p.m. CT on Wed., May 1.
