Anna Sloan
Anna Sloan enters her first year as an Amherst assistant while working as a visiting assistant professor at Smith College. She brings a wealth of competitive tennis experience to the program, having played four seasons at Brown University, where she was an NCAA qualifier and the top ranked player in the Eastern Section before graduating in 1992. She then served as an assistant coach at the University of Pennsylvania and has worked in a variety of instructional capacities, including Nike Tennis Camps at Mount Holyoke College and Amherst College, the ASA Summer Camp at the University of Massachusetts, Judy Dixon’s Tennis Camp at the University of Massachusetts, the Levy Tennis Pavilion in Philadelphia, Penn. and the River Forest Tennis Club in River Forest, Ill. Sloan earned a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in 2001 and lives in nearby Northampton, Mass.
