2002-03 (Freshman): Came to Boise State after playing at Johnson County Community College where his team finished eighth in the NJCAA Team Championship in 2003...named there to the academic honor roll.

Juniors: Top 16 in USTA Missouri Valley region 14 and under… tennis club coach was Rex Cord…graduated from Buhler High School in 2002 where he was named to the honor roll… played power forward on basketball team that reached semifinals of 2000-2001 Kansas state championship.

Personal: Born in Hutchinson, Kansas……siblings all play tennis: sister Jessica, 30, and brothers Jed, 39, and Justin, 34…major in Psychology/Pre-Med…hobbies include basketball and X-Box.

Q: Who is your all-time favorite tennis player? Pete Sampras because he was the greatest to ever play the game.
Q: Name your three favorite athletes. Lance Armstrong, Michael Jordan, and Pete Maravich.
Q: Who is your favorite BSU athlete not on your own team? Shooting guard Toby Karl because I like the way he plays. He's a solid athlete and a great shooter.
Q: If you could play anyone one-on-one, dead or alive, who would it be? Arthur Ashe because of his immense influence on the game and on everyone around him, both inside and outside tennis. He was just a great man.
Q: Who is your favorite sports team? I'm from Kansas and have always rooted for the Kansas University basketball team. But, believe it or not, I've also rooted for the New England Patriots all my life because I have a lot of relatives in the Boston area.
Q: What is your biggest weapon or most effective tactic on the tennis court? My biggest weapon in my serve, because of its velocity and placement.
Q: What's your favorite sports movie? "Pistol Pete" about Pete Maravich.
Q: What's the best movie you've ever seen? "The Shawshank Redemption"
Q: Who do you hang out with? The guys on the team and other BSU athletes.
Q: What's your favorite food? Anything my mom makes, especially her Beef Stroganoff.

Q: What was your most memorable road trip as a Bronco and what made it so memorable? Our trip to the University of Utah Invitational this fall. It was one of the first ones I've been on and it was fun to hang out with seniors Beck Roghaar and Nils Klemman.
Q: What are your nicknames? "The Tool Man" because I can fix anything and Coach Patton calls me "Grizzly" because my last name is Bair.
Q: What was your most thrilling athletic experience? Making it to semifinals of the Kansas state basketball championship as a junior year of high school. I started at power forward.
Q: What TV show can you not miss an episode of? "The OC"
Q: What gets the heaviest rotation on your CD player or mp3 player? Tom Petty and Heartbreakers and the Steve Miller band. I'm Old School, raised on the Rolling Stones and the Beatles—my mom's favorites.

Q: Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know. I'm a handyman. My parents can't, but my older brother and I can fix almost anything.
