Player Bio
2004 (Senior): Transferred to Boise State from Saint Louis University at end of 2003-2004 season. Fall record at Boise State is 5-4 in singles and 4-4 in doubles.

Prior to Boise State: Played number one singles for Saint Louis University with a 14-6 (.700) record in the spring of 2004 before transferring to Boise State University for his senior season…played in 2003 USTA Futures Tournament in Peoria, Illinois against several ranked players including Ryler DeHeart, member of Illinois' 2003 national championship team, and Stanford number one singles player David Martin who was ranked first in the nation for much of the 2002-2003 season…while competing in Conference USA at Saint Louis, Ikaika was named to the 2004 All-Conference Second Team.

Juniors: Ranked number 37 in Juniors 18 and under.

Personal: Born in Honolulu…siblings: half-sister Chesiree, 7, and two younger brothers Sean, 20, and Micha, 14, both of whom play tennis…hobbies include surfing, body boarding, basketball and paintball…Ikaika means "warrior" in Hawaiian language.

Q: Who is your all-time favorite tennis player? It used to be Andre Agassi, but it's Roger Federer now. I admire his style. I aspire to play like him.
Q: Name your three favorite athletes. Michael Jordan, of course. Anna Kournikova, not just because she's good-looking but because she's also a really good tennis player and I don't think she gets enough credit for that. And Lance Armstrong.
Q: Who is your favorite BSU athlete not on your own team? Freshman fullback Michael Lose.
Q: If you could play anyone on-on-one, dead or alive, who would it be? Roger Federer
Q: Who's your favorite sports team? The Chicago Bulls when Jordan was there. These days my favorite team would be the St. Louis Cardinals because I lived in St. Louis for three years before transferring to Boise State.
Q: What's your biggest weapon or most effective tactic on the tennis court? My best weapons are my serve, my all-court game, and my speed.
Q: What's your favorite sports movie? "Stepped Into Liquid." It's a surfer movie and I've been surfing all my life. I can't even remember when I started, I was so young.
Q: What's the best movie you've ever seen? "The Last Samurai"
Q: Who do you hang out with? The guys on the team, especially my freshman roommates Brent Werbeck, Luke Shields, and Eric Roberson.
Q: What's your favorite food? Laulau, which is chicken, pork or fish wrapped in leaves and steamed. It's traditionally served at Hawaiian Luaus.
Q: What is your cell phone ring tone? "Blue" by Eiffel 65

Q: What was your most memorable road trip as a Bronco and what made it so memorable? The trip to the Midland Tournament in Midland, Texas this past October because the people there treated us so well, like we were professionals.
Q: What is your nickname? Coach Patton calls me "Kahuna" because I'm from Hawaii. It means "chief."
Q: What was your most thrilling athletic experience? Clinching the win against Illinois State in three sets in a dual match my junior year at St. Louis because it sealed an important team victory  against our archrivals.
Q: What TV show can you not miss an episode of? "North Shore" because it takes place in Hawaii and reminds me of home.
Q: What gets the heaviest rotation on your CD player or mp3 player? Shifty
