BOISE STATE TENURE
Greg Ouellette is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Broncos. Ouellette comes to Boise State after one year as an assistant at the University of Iowa and six years of playing on the ATP Tour.
Ouellette’s responsibilities will be to assist in player development, practice preparation, operational support and all aspects of recruiting.
PRIOR TO BOISE STATE
Ouellette was an assistant coach at the University of Iowa for one season during 2015-16 helping the Hawkeyes to a program best team ranking of No. 33 before finishing the year at No. 65, an all-time high.
Ouellette also served as a volunteer assistant for one semester at his alma mater Florida.
PROFESSIONAL PLAYING CAREER
Ouellette’s professional playing accomplishments are numerous and include playing for six years on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour. He holds five professional singles titles and eight professional doubles titles. Ouellette reached a career high ATP singles ranking of #269 and a career high ATP doubles ranking of #360. He also competed in the US Open, ATP Masters event at Indian Wells, ATP Masters event in Montreal, and ATP 250 Events; Winston Salem, Houston, San Jose, and Delray Beach. Ouellette was also a bronze-medalist in doubles at the 2011 Pan-American Games at Guadalajara, Mexico.
He has played against many of the top stars on the ATP circuit including John Isner and Victor Troicki. Some of Ouellette’s notable wins on the tour came over Marin Cilic, Gael Monfils, Stevie Johnson, Kevin Anderson, and Thomaz Bellucci.
COLLEGIATE CAREER
Ouellette is a 2008 graduate from the University of Florida earning a degree in sports management and a minor in business management. During his four-year career with the Gators he earned five All-American honors (three in singles and two in doubles). Ouellette was also tabbed the Southeastern Conference (SEC) Freshman of the Year in 2005 and SEC Player of the Year in 2008. During his collegiate career he was ranked as high as No. 2 nationally in singles and No. 3 in doubles by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).

Greg Ouellette completed his Gator career as the second five-time All-American in school history. As a freshman in 2005, he earned the recognition in singles and doubles play before accomplishing the feat again as a junior in 2007. In 2008, he finished his career by earning All-America honors in singles.
Ouellette had 110 singles wins, which ranked as the fourth-highest in Florida history at the time. He also had 71 doubles wins and his 181 combined victories were the fifth-highest by any Gator.
Ouellette was the No. 2 seed in the 2008 NCAA singles draw, as he was appearing in the event for the fourth-straight year. He finished the season ranked fourth nationally in the ITA poll and was named the SEC Player of the Year. He was also an All-SEC first-team selection for the fourth-consecutive time.
In 2007, he advanced to the Round of 16 in the draw for the second time in his career. He also paired with Jesse Levine in the doubles’ draw, where the two were the number three seed and advanced to the quarterfinal round.
In 2005, he advanced farther than any freshman in the country in the NCAA singles’ draw by making his way into the quarterfinal round. He finished his first season with an overall record of 39-10, which was the third-highest win total on UF’s all-time singles season chart and the best by a Gator freshman.
He and senior Hamid Mirzadeh were seeded fifth in the 2005 NCAA doubles bracket, which earned them All-America status. Ouellette was selected as a first-team All-SEC representative and was named the SEC Freshman of the Year. He was also honored by the ITA as the Southeast Region ITA Rookie of the Year.
