Baker comes to Charleston Southern from his post as the Tennis Director and Junior Academy Director of the Family Circle Tennis Center on Daniel Island, South Carolina. Baker has worked for the Family Circle Tennis Center for the last five years.

Baker played collegiately at Clemson University from 1992-94 before transferring and finishing his career at College of Charleston, graduating with a degree in Business Communications in 1996. He has 10 years of experience as a tennis instructor and club professional.
