NEW YORK - The Columbia women's tennis team hosted the final day of the Columbia Invitational Sunday and came away with victories in four of the six flights.

The Flight A and B Singles Draws each featured Columbia student-athletes going head-to-head. In the Flight A Draw, Nicole Bartnik and Bianca Sanon went up against each other, with Bartnik coming out on top, 6-3, 7-6(4). In the Flight B Draw, Kanika Vaidya walked away with the win, 6-1, 6-2.

Katarina Kovacevic and Vaidya captured the Flight B Doubles title with a strong 8-3 win against Yapp-Shing/Ion from Penn.

The Lions will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. next weekend to compete at the Cissie Leary Invitational. That tournament will begin Friday, Sept. 21 and continue through Sunday, Sept. 23
