Jonathan Birbeck, Esquire
Red Devils Mens Tennis Coach Jonathan Birbeck, Esq. is in his 14th season of coaching tennis at Dickinson College. From 1995-1998 Birbeck was assistant coach of the Mens Tennis Team working along side fellow attorney and former Dickinson #1 tennis star Greg Abeln Esq. In 1999 Birbeck took over as Head Coach and the team has moved from 2-11 (1999), 6-8(2000), 8-8(2001), at 12-6 (2002), 11-6 (2003), 14-4 (2004), 13-6 (2005), 14-5 (2006), 12-7 (2007) and a #17 Regional Ranking in Atlantic South, 11-7 (2008) while playing many ranked teams out of conference and competing one of the strongest conferences in the country for division III, including division II schools.
Coach Birbeck, also the Chief Deputy District Attorney of Cumberland County in Carlisle Pennsylvania and has captained many 4.0 and 4.5 teams to six regional championships in Central Pennsylavnia and Five Middle States Championships and played #1 Doubles and Captained USTA teams four times at Nationals in Palm Springs, CA(1994), Tuscon, AZ(1995), Tuscon AZ(1996) and San Diego CA (2000) The Red Devils are constantly upwardly mobile and competitive team of student athletes not just tennis players who attend college but student athletes who graduate and go on to careers outside of tennis.
