 Christine Blaeser

Christine Blaeser is in her 12th season as head coach of the women's tennis team at Eastern New Mexico.  she has brought the Zias to national prominence with five straight NCAA Division II Regional Tournament Berths in 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, and 2001.

Blaeser is a 1986 graduate of New Mexico State University, and has a bachelor's degree in Physical Education.  Blaeser played tennis at New Mexico State from 1982-1986.  She was named Intercollegiate Tennis Coaches Association Scolar-Athlete-of-the-Year in 1984.  In 1985 she was a member of the HCAC All-Academic Team.  A 1981 graduate of Carlsbad H.S. (N.M.), she was MVP of her high school team.  Prior to joining the ENMU coaching staff in 1991, Blaeser was the head tennis coach at Hobbs H.S. (N.M.) Several of her player advanced to the New Mexico State Tournament.

In addition to coaching the Zias, Blaeser is an instructor in the ENMU Health and P.E. Department.  Blaeser and her husband, Tom, have three children, LeAnne (8), Zachary (6), and Sarah (2).  The Blaesers live in Portales.
