Junior Year (2003-04): Sealed her name in Florida State women’s tennis history by becoming the first Seminole to finish the entire season undefeated in singles play…the Bucharest, Romania native has gone to a third set tiebreaker in just three of 26 matches – against Nathalie Koppelle of No. 28 Alabama, #32 Julie Rotondi of then-No. 2 and defending champion Florida and Jenny Kuhn of then-No. 27 Tulane...ranked as high as #47 in the country in singles during the season...named to the All-ACC team for the first time in her career…broke Kia Asberg’s record for most dual match, singles wins of 24, recording 26…boasts the best single season winning percentage in school history, currently at 1.000…became just the third player to reach 30 singles wins in Seminole history, combining her 7-4 fall season record with her spring tally...her 31 wins is tied for first place overall with former Tribe member Marina Raic, who went 31-9 in 1998-99…paired with Roxanne Clarke, the tandem tallied 13 wins, out of the number one position...won eight of the last ten doubles matches of the season…the two have shown flashes of their potential including a 9-8(2) win over then-#23 Aniela Mojzis and Kendall Cline from then-No. 9 UNC…the win was instrumental in taking the doubles point from the higher-ranked, conference opponent en route to the upset victory for the Seminoles...against No. 21 Clemson, the pair almost took the doubles point and the team victory for FSU, but narrowly lost 9-8(5) to Alix Lacelarie and Julie Coin, both players in the top 30 in doubles in the country…during the fall season, reached the quarterfinals of the South Regionals with a win over Florida’s Boglarka Berecz...won all but two doubles matches in the fall season, sharing the court with Christina Denny, Anca Dumitrescu and Roxanne Clarke...only loss came when paired with Anca Dumitrescu, losing the Semifinals of doubles A draw in the Lady Seminole Fall Classic to fellow Tribe tandem Daniela Gheorghe and Amberly Tantee…in singles action, traveled to the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Tournament, returning with a 1-2 showing…posted a 7-4 singles record and a 4-2 doubles record in the fall...was named team MVP after her performance during the 2003-04 season.

Sophomore Year (2002-03): Had an outstanding first year starting off the season with five straight wins and ending the season with ITA South Region Rookie of the Year honors…ranked as high as No. 81, finishing the season with a 91st ranking...after winning the first set 7-6(3), the Bucharest, Romania native dropped the last two 6-3 and 11-9 against #47 Alix Lacelerie…finished the spring with a 15-5 record including wins against four ranked players, best of any Tribe member…picked up wins against two other higher ranked opponents – Tulane’s No. 61 Jenny Kuhn and No. 89 Ramona But of Maryland…opened the Gator Fall Classic with two wins and advanced to the quarterfinals of the singles A draw…finished the fall season with record of 2-1.

High School and Other Accomplishments: Attended college in Romania but did not compete in collegiate tennis...Romanian National Champion in 1997 & 1998…finished first in doubles and third in singles at the East European Championships…also played volleyball and soccer.

Personal: Born on March 23, 1981…comes from a sports family where father played soccer, mother played handball and brother plays tennis…named to the 2004 CoSIDA Academic All-America first team, after posting a 3.925 GPA...earned the 2003 Golden Torch Award after compiling a 4.0 GPA, to lead all Seminole female student-athletes…majoring in public relations.
