 Patricia Epps

Coach Epps joined the F&M staff in 1978 as coach of women's tennis and squash. She was promoted to Associate Athletic Director of Athletics and Recreation in 1996.

Epps was an active participant in athletics at J.P. McCaskey High School in Lancaster and at Cornell University where she graduated with a B.A. degree in history. She also attended West Chester University for a teaching certification and graduate studies in health, physical education and coaching.

Epps has led the tennis team to 11 conference championships in the last 16 years. The Diplomats have also had 15 individual and seven teams selected to compete in the NCAA Division III championships.

Coach Epps has been an active member of the U.S. Professional Tennis Association. She has served as chair of NCAA Division III tennis and is on the ITA Board of Directors. She is also a member of the South Atlantic Region NCAA Advisory and ITA Ranking Committee. Epps has been honored three times as USPTA Middle States "Coach of the Year", won the ITA East Region "Coach of the Year" twice and the 1990 "Norman Bromall Service Award."

Before coming to F&M, coach Epps was co-director of the Chase Tennis Camp at the Westown School, where she coached the girls' team. Epps has served as a tennis clinician and speaker at numerous professional, scholastic and intercollegiate conferences.
