Junior Year (2012-13):  Christ registered a 4-17 overall singles record and 2-8 SoCon mark in his third year on the Paladin squad, playing mostly at flight two.  He opened the season with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-0 victory over Florida A&M in the number two spot, then recorded a 7-6(4), 6-3 win at #39 South Carolina the next week.  In the middle of the SoCon season, Christ put together back-to-back wins at flight two, defeating The Citadel, 6-2, 6-1, and topping Appalachian State, 3-6, 6-0, 6-4.  In doubles play, Christ teamed primarily with Matt Browne in the top two flights.  The duo went 5-5 in regular-season conference play, including key wins over Samford (9-7) and Wofford (8-7).  In the opening round of the SoCon Tournament, Christ and Browne beat Appalachian State, 8-5.  Christ was named to the Southern Conference Academic All-Conference Team and the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

Sophomore Year (2011-12):  Christ posted an 11-9 overall singles record and 7-3 league mark, playing primarily at number two singles.  He recorded a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory over Clemson early in the season then moved to the number one spot for one match, where he defeated Presbyterian, 6-3, 6-4.  Christ put together a four-match winning streak over SoCon foes Georgia Southern, Davidson, Elon, and The Citadel from March 25-April 3.  He won six out of seven matches to conclude the regular season then topped UNC Greensboro, 6-4, 6-2, in the opening round of the Southern Conference Championship.  In doubles play, Christ recorded a 7-14 overall mark and 3-7 SoCon record, playing mostly in the top doubles spot with Joel Cook.  The duo posted regular-season victories over conference opponents Chattanooga, Davidson, and Wofford then beat College of Charleston, 8-3, in the quarterfinals of the Southern Conference Championship.  Christ was named to the Southern Conference Academic All-Conference Team and the SoCon Academic Honor Roll.

Freshman Year (2010-11): Christ was named to the Southern Conference All-Freshman Team after finishing the season with a 9-14 overall singles mark and a 6-4 SoCon singles record.  He played mostly at number three and four singles, with a few appearances at number two.  Christ posted a 6-4, 6-4 second-seed win over #66 DePaul early in the season, then notched a 6-1, 6-2 win at number three at The Citadel to open league play.  He won seven out of eight matches to conclude the season, including wins over Davidson and Samford at number four to end the regular season, then a 6-1, 6-0 triumph over The Citadel at number four singles to open the SoCon Championships, and a 6-1, 6-4 third-seed victory against UNC Greensboro in the second round of the tournament.  Christ tallied a 10-11 overall doubles record and 6-3 league mark with teammate Joel Cook, playing mostly in the second doubles spot.   The duo notched an 8-2 second-seed victory versus #66 DePaul early in the season then posted a 5-3 SoCon record and won six out of eight matches to conclude the regular season.  Christ was named to the Southern Conference Academic Honor Roll.

Prep/Personal: Alex Christ was coached at Pittsford Sutherland by Gary Foti and privately by Tom LaPenna and Scott Thyroff.  An All-American, he was named a “5-Star Recruit” by tennisrecruiting.net and earned a ranking of 72nd nationally and sixth in the state of New York.  As a prep, Christ recorded wins over players ranked 10th and 18th nationally.  He also competed as a member of the baseball team and was a member of the Honor Roll.    Alexander S. Christ was born on January 27, 1992, in Boston, Mass., to Charles and Anne Christ.  He is undecided on his major.
