Junior Year (2012-13): Collins appeared in one singles match for the Paladins, dropping a 6-1, 6-3 decision at flight six at UNC Greensboro.
Sophomore Year (2011-12): Collins saw limited singles action but competed in 17 doubles matches for the Paladins, playing in the second and third doubles slots. He teamed with Watson George for an 8-6 win over Navy and a 9-8 victory at Winthrop, both at number three doubles. Collins combined with Luke Synn to defeat Georgia Southern, 8-6, also in the third doubles spot.
Freshman Year (2010-11): Collins competed in one singles match for the Paladins, recording a 7-6, 6-2 win at number five versus Brevard.
Prep/Personal: Nate Collins played under head coach Perry Nelson at The Governor’s Academy, where he captained the team as a junior and senior. He earned All-Scholastic honors four consecutive years and was chosen team MVP. Collins played two years of varsity soccer and two years of club soccer for North Shore United. Nathaniel Welles Collins was born on September 15, 1991, in Manchester, Mass., to Christopher and Lisa Collins. His father played football and rugby at New Hampshire. He has a cousin who played soccer at Creighton. Collins intends to major in political science.
