Junior (2002-03): Competed on fifth singles for the
Sycamores and posted a 19-16 record, including a 7-2 mark in
Missouri Valley Conference play…closed the season winning nine of twelve matches, including five straight wins to finish the year…teamed with Leah Esmero and posted a 13-5 mark in doubles play (4-3 MVC)…named First Team All-Academic MVC for the second consecutive season…leads all active Sycamores with 57 singles victories to her credit...finished 2-1 at the MVC Individual Championships, finishing third in her bracket...took third place in the third flight at the Sycamore Invitational, defeating teammate Logan Becker for the honor.

Sophomore (2001-02): Named to the MVC all-Student-
Athlete honorable mention list ...competed throughout the season in the sixth spot in singles...finished the season on a three match win steak, and won six of her last seven...teamed up with doubles partner Laura Whitney, to earn an impressive 6-2 record.

Freshman (2000-2001): Recorded a pair of wins, at fifth singles and third doubles with Laura Whitney against Saint Louis to give the Sycamores a 4-3 win over the visiting Billikens...her victory at fifth singles against Louisville proved to be the difference as the Sycamores defeated the Cardinals, 4-3...a member of the MVC honor roll.

Prep: Herndon posted an impressive 82-8 career record during her four years at #1 singles...she was ranked No. 34 in Midwest
Section and had a ranking of No. 4 in the CITA rankings for Indiana...she was a state finals participant three of her four years as a prep...she was first team all-conference slection all four years at No. 1 singles and was also an all-state performer for four years at No. 1 singles...Herndon also played number one singles in the Indiana-Kentucky All-Star match...a member of the National Honor Society, Herndon won the CITA Barbara Wynn Sportsmanship Award and was a member of the Junior Whiteman Cup Championships in 1999...she was the Frankfort Hot Dogs Booster Club Female Athlete of the Year Award winner..Herndon was also a member of FCA and on the Dean’s List.

Advisory Committee…First team all MVC Student-Athlete in 2002 and 2003...Lisa Herndon was born August 5, 1981, the daughter of Chuck and Deedie Herndon, who are both teachers...Herndon has two older brothers, Jeff and Tom, and one older sister, Ann. Ann played tennis and volleyball at Manchester College, while Tom ran track at Butler University. Herndon’s dad, Chuck, played football and basketball at Franklin College. The childhood development and family life major received a School of Education outstanding achievement award and is a member of the SAAC.
