Amassed an overall singles record of 6-8, including a 1-5 mark in Big Ten play • played at the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 singles positions • had two victories over ranked opponents • in back-to-back matches defeated 86th-ranked John Hoyes of Miami (Florida) and 104th-ranked Rahim Esmail of Kentucky • downed Hoyes at the No. 6 position in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1 • Esmail retired down 6-3, 4-3 in the second set at the No. 4 spot • only Big Ten win came against Clint Keithly of Penn State • only played one doubles match at the No. 3 position with freshman John Stone • went 0-1 in doubles.
