Several Flames Start Season at Virginia Open

Four Liberty Flames participated in the Virginia Men’s Open this past weekend to begin the 2009 fall tennis season for the squad.
Seniors Chad Simpson and Louis Steyn, sophomore Giancarlo Lemmi and freshman Siim Tuus represented Liberty in a strong field at the three-day tournament.
The quartet posted a combined a 11-6 mark in singles competition, while going 1-2 in doubles.
The Flames will return to Charlottesville this weekend for the Virginia Fall Tournament. The three-day event gets underway Friday morning on the University of Virginia campus.
