2001 Fall Season

Jumped out to a fast start during the fall tournament season and opened with a 4-1 record ... Earned vital wins over UNO’s Sebastian Lacatelli and Mattias Westerberg at the Louisiana-Lafayette Invitational ... Finished fall competition with a 5-4 overall record in singles play ... Only competed in one doubles match with partner Dan Kiernan.

 Freshman Season (2000-01)

Proved to be one of the most improved players during the season for head coach Jeff Brown ... Finished the season with an overall record of 7-5 in singles play ... Went undefeated for the Tigers in both No. 4 and No. 6 singles play ... Improved as a baseline player and became more consistent as the season went on ... Played with partner Dan Kiernan at No. 1 doubles and finished the year with a perfect 1-0 dual record ... Finished 6-3 overall in doubles play ... Opened the fall with a runner‑up finish in his flight of the Rice Invitational as he fell to teammate Anthony Mateljan in the final ... Went 1‑1 in doubles play in the fall with John Sruk as the pair competed in just one tournament together ... Earned his first varsity letter. 

Redshirt Season (1999‑00)

Did not compete in any dual matches ... Posted a 3‑6 record in the fall and reached the consolation round of the Tulane Invitational ... Won the Tulane Invitational doubles crown with partner Dan Kiernan. 

Prior to LSU

Competed at Catholic High School in New Iberia, La., for four years ... Played the No. 1 position and won the individual state championship in both his junior and senior seasons in Class 3A ... Was ranked No. 1 in the state ... Also lettered each of his high school years in cross country and track ... Led his team to three state cross country championships.
