USPTA Certified.  A 2000 graduate of Central College, Huinker holds a bachelor of arts degree in exercise science.  Recieved his master of art degree in sports administration from the University of Minnesota-Mankato in the Summer of 04'.  While at Central, he was a four-year letter winner, earned all-conference honors three times, and was captain of Central's Iowa Conference championship teams in 1999 and 2000. His senior season he was named team MVP.

Prior to joining the Luther athletic department, Huinker was employed as the head tennis professional at Westfield Tennis Club in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Entering his fourth year as the head coach.

Named conference coach of the year in his first season.

Guided Luther to two second and one third place finish at the IIAC team championships.

Posted a 57-29 dual meet record the past three years.
