 Michael Bonnell
Michael Bonnell was selected to serve as Methodist University men's tennis coach to kick off the 2011 season. Bonnell's inaugural season featured a 14-7 overall record and a fourth place finish in the USA South Athletic Conference. After a 31-12 record in 2012, he boasts a 31-12 career record in two seasons at the helm. The Monarchs also finished tied for second in the USA South.

Bonnell previously spent six seasons at the helm of the Ohio Dominican University men's and women's tennis programs. During his tenure with the Panthers, Bonnell led teams to postseason play every year and produced five nationally ranked players. In 2005, he was named the American Mideast Conference South Division Women's Coach of the Year.

Prior to joining the Methodist staff, Bonnell has also served as a tennis professional at the Wickertree Tennis Club and the New Albany Tennis Center in Ohio.

Bonnell earned a bachelor's degree in communications/public relations from Ohio Northern University where he competed on the men's tennis team and was ranked nationally as high as No. 9.
