Junior from Florida who joined MSU in fall 2004...Hails from the same hometown as former Mississippi State assistant coach Michael Metz...Serve-and-volley player who has a good serve and quick hands.
2006-07 (JUNIOR):
FALL—Went 0-5 in singles and 4-3 in doubles during his third fall stint...Reached the semis of B-Draw doubles at the Georgia Tech Invitational (Atlanta, GA) with Eric Lim...Also won final doubles match of the season against a Nebraska pair at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships (Tuscaloosa, AL).
2005-06 (SOPHOMORE):
FALL—Went 2-8 in singles, 1-3 in doubles during his second fall at MSU...First victory of the fall came at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships (Athens, GA) while the second came in the first round of the Hibernia Tennis Classic (Lafayette, LA)...Partnered with Pierre Mouillon to win their round of 16 doubles match at the Crimson Tide Invitational (Tuscaloosa,AL) to open the semester...Also participated at the Southern Intercollegiate Championships (Athens, GA) and the ITA Southeast Region Indoor Championships (Memphis, TN).
SPRING—Went 1-7 overall and 1-5 in dual matches in doubles play during the spring, seeing the first team competition of his State career...Victory came with Florent Girod in the quarters of the SEC Tournament against Kentucky, helping State clinch a spot in the semis.
2004-05 (FRESHMAN):
FALL—Went 2-8 in singles, 0-7 in doubles during his first taste of college tennis action...Notched a victory in the pre qualifying rounds of the ITA All-American Hardcourt Championships (Chattanooga, TN)...Also registered a consolation triumph at the Crimson Tide Fall Championships (Tuscaloosa, AL) to end the term...Also competed in the Gator Invitational (Gainesville, FL), the Southern Intercollegiate Championships (Athens, GA) and the ITA Southeast Region Indoor Championships (Memphis, TN).
SPRING—Did not see action for State during the spring semester.
PRE-MSU:
Attended Clewiston [FL] High School (2001-04)...Was #1 on his prep squad all four of his years at CHS...Named Most Valuable Player on the team all four seasons as well...A first-team, all-area selection by the Palm Beach Post his junior and senior campaigns...Was 44-7 overall in singles during his high school career...Was Florida's state semifinalist in singles and doubles, and was the Sunshine State's district champion twice...Ranked No. 261 nationally in Boys' 18s and 36th among 18s in the state of Florida.
