2001-02 (JUNIOR):
Held a national doubles ranking of 53rd with partner Luiz Carvalho early in the year.
FALL--Notched a solid fall in both singles (9-4) and doubles (8-4)...Reached the finals of the Citizens Bank Clay Court Championships (Johnson City, TN) to open the semester...Went 3-1 in prequalifying at the All-American Hardcourt Championships (Stone Mountain, GA), missing the qualifying rounds by one match...Played all doubles matches with partner Luiz Carvalho...The tandem made the round of 16 at the Southern Collegiate Championships (Athens, GA)...The pair went 4-0 in the prequalifying stages of the All-American Hardcourt Championships (Stone Mountain, GA) to advance to qualifying...The duo also reached the semifinals of the Omni Hotels Southern Regional Championships (Knoxville, TN), two wins shy of advancing to the National Indoor Championships (Dallas, TX).
SPRING--Played 21 singles dual matches for State, seeing action mainly at the #2-4 positions...Went 8-13 in those matches, including a 3-2 mark at #2...Was 9-11 in doubles for the Bulldogs in team play, seeing time primarily at the #2 and 3 spots in the lineup.

2000-01 (SOPHOMORE):

FALL--Was 10-11 in singles during the autumn, but went 10-6 after an 0-5 start to the term...Qualified for the All-American Hardcourt Championships (Stone Mountain, GA), reaching the second round in the first Collegiate Grand Slam appearance of his career...Also had a win over a top 20 player...Was also 7-7 during the fall in doubles, pairing with three different partners...Reached the quarterfinals of the ITA Region III Indoor Championships (Athens, GA) with Rene-Charles Combette...Also competed with Max Fomine for a 4-2 record, including a Flight A semifinal showing at the Middle Tennessee Fall Invitational (Murfreesboro, TN) and the Division II quarterfinals at the Southern Collegiate Championships (Athens, GA).
SPRING--Struggled a bit in singles during spring competition, notching just a 2-9 singles record in team matches, playing primarily at the No. 3 position...One of those two wins aided MSU in its NCAA First Round victory over Middle Tennessee...Was very solid in doubles for the Bulldogs in the spring, however, going 13-6 in dual matches with three different partners, 7-2 in the SEC.

1999-2000 (FRESHMAN):
Solid first year on the college level...Went 19-16 overall in singles, 13-15 in doubles...Held national singles rankings as high as 74th during the year, maintaining a top 100 rating for half of the season.
FALL--Notched 13-3 singles and 5-5 doubles records during the term...His singles mark was the best for MSU by wins and winning percentage...Was a semifinalist in his first collegiate tournament at the Middle Tennessee Fall Classic (Murfreesboro, TN)...One of just four players to post a 3-0 or better mark at the Charles Fluitt Collegiate Classic (Lexington, KY)...Was also perfect at the Mississippi Invitational (Oxford, MS), including a victory over the nation's 50th-ranked player...A consolation quarterfinalist at the Arizona State Thunderbirds Invitational (Tempe, AZ)...Ended the term with a round of 16 showing at the ITA Region III Indoor Championship (Athens, GA)...Teamed with David Ruiz to reach the doubles quarterfinals of the Region III event...Paired with fellow freshman Charles Sevigny for a 2-0 mark at the Fluitt Classic, including a top 35 triumph.
