FRESHMAN (2012-13)
Expected to make an instant impact in his first year in the Maroon and White.
FALL - Fell in a tight second round battle against No. 17 Bob van Overbeek of Florida, 6-4, 4-6, 4-6, in Division I of the Southern Intercollegiate Championships... Made a run to the singles quarterfinals of the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships, including defeating 58th-ranked Daniil Proskura of Alabama in the 3rd round... Fell to 5th ranked and first seed Nik Scholtz of Ole Miss 7-6(5), 2-6, 5-7 in the quarterfinal match-up at the Southern Regionals... Teamed with fellow freshman Pedro Dumont, made a thrilling advance to the semifinals in Doubles Division I at the Southern Intercollegiates, falling to Florida's Michael Alford and Florent Diep, 3-8... Along with junior teammate Malte Stropp, defeated the 6th-ranked duo of John Collins and Hunter Reese of Tennessee and 17th-ranked David Hopkins and Amogh Prabhakar of Wake Forest on the way to a quarterfinals placing in the ITA All-American Championships... Partnered with Stropp, captured the doubles crown at the USTA/ITA Southern Regional Championships, defeating in-state foes Matt Frost and Andrew Goodwin of Southern Mississippi 8-3 in the championship match.
PRE-MSU:
A top 100 junior that is considered to be one of the very best British players entering into the collegiate system... Sports a personal-best world junior ranking of No. 74 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF)... Has won numerous singles and doubles titles on the world junior circuit... Competed in the Junior Wimbledon during the 2012 summer.

Jordan Angus is a native of London, England... The son of Eric and Beverly Angus and has one older brother, Niall, who is in his senior season for the Texas A&M Men's Tennis program... The right-hander enjoys playing soccer in his free time... Angus chose Mississippi State because of the coaches, players and facilities.
