Coach Anderson's Take: "Alex is a baseliner who is very consistent with her play. She's the type of player that never gives up on a point. She performed well at the Washington State tournament this past fall in singles action, advancing past Vera Vasileva, a veteran player from Montana State. Our main focus with Alex this semester is in doubles preperation, making her feel more comfortable at the net. We think she'll develop into a strong all-around player for us. She was a winner in her native Romania, and I see her bringing that mentality to the courts here at Montana."
Prior to UM: Took home singles titles at both the Literal Cup and the Ararat Cup (Romania) in the summer of 2005 ... Won four national titles in the Romania junior tennis circuit.
