SOPHOMORE SEASON (2010-11) Had a breakout season as a sophomore, earning ITA All-America honors after finishing the spring ranked No. 11 in the country in singles and advancing the NCAA singles round of 16 • Also earned All-ACC honors for the first time, posting a 7-4 singles record in league play, and a was a 2011 ACC All-Academic Team selection • Finished with a 34-17 mark in singles and a 19-14 record in doubles • Ranked as high as No. 39 in the country in doubles with Lauren McHale • Defeated 13 ranked opponents during the spring • Six of the 13 wins were over top-25 opponents and all 13 were against players in the top 53 • Defeated No. 5 Denise Muresan of Michigan in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (4), to key the win over the No. 4 Wolverines • Won six of her final seven regular season matches, including four straight over top-50 opponents to close the year • Triumphed in perhaps the most thrilling match of the season when she rallied from 5-3 down in the third to beat No. 10 Josipa Bek of Clemson to clinch the 4-3 win over the Lady Tigers • Defeated No. 45 Nadine Fahoum of Duke, No. 46 Jillian O'Neill of Georgia Tech and No. 34 Katie Rybakova of Florida State in straight sets during the streak • Also took six of her final seven postseason matches before falling to Chelsea Gullickson in the NCAA round of 16 • Helped set the tone in the ACC final win over Florida State with a 6-2, 6-1 beating of Rybakova • Was a perfect 3-0 in NCAA duals, including straight-set wins over No. 4 Denise Dy of Washington and No. 14 Sona Novakova of Baylor • Won a pair of matches in the NCAA singles tournament • Rallied from a set down to beat Stanford's Mallory Burdette, 1-6, 7-6 (3), 6-3, in the first round before whipping Maryland's Cristina Sanchez-Quintanar in the second round, 6-2, 6-2 • Laid the foundation for her stellar sophomore campaign in the fall season, which featured winning the ITA Carolina Regional singles title in Chapel Hill and advancing to the National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2009-10) Finished her freshman campaign with a sparkling 26-9 singles record and an 8-4 doubles record • Playing at every singles position between No. 3 and No. 6, compiled a 17-5 mark in dual match play, including a 5-1 record in ACC action • Won nine of her first 10 matches during the dual season • Won three singles matches in four days at the ITA National Team Indoors, including an upset of No. 80 Amanda Granson of Duke in which she rallied from 2-5 down in the second set to win 6-4, 7-6 • That victory helped UNC advance the finals of ITA Indoors for the first time in program history • Won her first five ACC matches, all in straight-sets • After not appearing in the singles lineup for over a month, was called on to face Duke's Mary Clayton in the national quarterfinals in Athens, Ga. • Despite losing the first set to Clayton, 6-2, dropped just two games the rest of the match for a 2-6, 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 6 singles • That victory helped UNC to a 4-3 win over Duke and spot in the national semifinals for the first time in school history • Had a strong first semester of collegiate tennis, compiling a 9-4 singles record in tournament play and a 6-2 doubles record playing with Gina Suarez-Malaguti, Katrina Tsang and Shinann Featherston • Won four consecutive matches in the fall with Suarez-Malaguti.
