SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13) Named a 2013 All-America, All-ACC and helped lead Carolina to the National Indoor Team Championships in second season season with the Tar Heels • Her 34-8 singles record led the team for the second-straight year • That mark included a 22-2 dual match singles record and a 6-1 record in the ACC • Was ranked as high as No. 25 in singles in late February and finished No. 41 in the country • After a 10-5 record in the fall, she won 19-consecutive singles matches that helped propel Carolina to No. 1 nationally for 10-straight weeks • Won all three singles matches in leading the Tar Heels to the National Indoors title, earning victories over Texas A&M, USC and UCLA • Also won both her singles matches in the NCAA Tournament • Qualified for the NCAA Singles and took down No. 50 Lacey Smyth of Arizona, 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 and No. 12 Julie Elbaba of Virginia, 6-2, 6-1, before falling in the Round of 16 • Joined forces with Whitney Kay and went 13-4 in doubles, including 10-3 in dual matches • The duo went 5-2 in the ACC and also took down No. 8 Northwestern, 9-8 (6) in Evanston, Ill. • Price and Kay finished the season ranked No. 37 in the country.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12) Standout freshman who immediately became a key component in the Carolina lineup in both singles and doubles • Finished a team best 30-13 in singles, including a 21-8 mark in dual match play • Ranked as high as No. 55 in singles and finished the year at No. 106 • Compiled a combined doubles record of 15-11, including a 6-5 mark in dual match play with Gina Suarez-Malaguti that featured four ACC wins • Won three matches in straight-sets in her first career event, including victories over No. 43 Alex Guarachi of Alabama and No. 38 Hanna Mar of Duke • Won six of her first seven matches in dual play as well as a straight-set victory over Georgia Tech's Jasmine Minor at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships • Lost just one match in ACC regular season play and won all three of her singles matches in the NCAA Championship • Finished her freshman campaign with a dominant 6-3, 6-1 win over No. 71 Lina Lineikite of Miami in the NCAA round of 16 • All eight of her ACC regular season wins came in straight sets and her lone loss was a three-setter • Participates in the Baddour Carolina Leadership Academy as a CREED Mentor. PREP/PERSONAL Has consistently been ranked among the top 10 in the USTA 18-and-under junior national rankings and is considered a blue chip prospect by TennisRecruiting.net • Won the girls' 18s singles title at the 2010 National Clay Court Championship • By virtue of that win, qualified to play in the U.S. Open junior event, where she won her opening match and lost to the No. 1-ranked junior in the world in three sets • Followed that up with a win in the girls' 18s doubles event at the 2011 National Clay Court Championship • Named the 2009 Junior Female Tennis Player of the Year in the state of Georgia • Won the USTA's Bill Talbert National Jr. Sportsmanship Award in 2009 • Also claimed the sportsmanship award at the 2010 Barbados ITF, an event that saw her advance to the singles final and win the doubles title • Won singles and doubles 16s titles at the Easter Bowl in 2009 as well as the 18s Bullfrog events in Jackson and Lawrenceville • Caroline Elizabeth Price is the daughter of Mark and Laura Price • Her father was a standout basketball player at Georgia Tech and played 12 seasons in the NBA, most notably with the Cleveland Cavaliers • Also a member of Dream Team II, the United States national team that won gold at the 1994 FIBA World Championships • Born March 13, 1993, in Akron, Ohio.
