Junior 2008-2009:
Began junior campaign as a member of the Michigan State Spartan's men's tennis team, only to transfer to North Central College in January of 2009.

Freshman 2006-2007:
Played one full year for The University of Illinois at Chicago Flames.....compiled a 16-8 singles record at the #4-6 positions.....compiled a 15-9 doubles record at the #3 position with multiple partners throughout the Fall and Spring seasons.
Juniors/High School:
Played all four years of varsity tennis for the Prairie Ridge High School Wolves.....played in the #1 singles position throughout high school career besides playing #1 doubles in sophomore season.....finished prep career with the most victories in school history (125).....was both a First Team All-Area & Player of the Year selection for three consecutive years (2004-2006).....IHSA state qualifier & Second Team All-State selection for three years finishing top 24 in doubles as a sophomore, top 24 in singles as a junior, and top 12 as a senior.....was ranked consistently amongst the top 30 in the USTA's Midwest Section while qualifying for the Midwest Closed Outdoor Championships.....was selected to represent Northern Illinois in the Midwest Junior Davis Cup Team Championships.

Born on January 11, 1988.....son of Jack and Kim Sweeney.....goes by the nickname of Sweens or Sweendizzle.....favorite athlete is James Blake.....also played soccer and basketball in high school.....enjoys hanging out with friends, meeting new people, listening to music, while playing & watching other sports in his free time.
