AS A FRESHMAN IN 1999- 2000: Joined the team for the spring semester after graduating from high school on January 7...12-11 in singles and 7-3 in doubles...Played singles in 23 of UF ’s 32 dual matches...Teamed with Matt Behrmann earlier in the year in doubles,posting a 6-3 record at number three...Made his collegiate debut with a 6-1,6-2 victory over Florida A&M ’s Kareem Bennett at number five singles...Fought off three match points in the second set and rallied for a 3-6,7-5,6-3 win over Furman ’s Drew Parker to claim the first clinching victory of his career...Outlasted Mississippi State ’s Charles Sevigny,6-3,6-7 (5),7-6 (5)in SEC opener...Downed Georgia ’s Nicolas Boeker (6-3,6-2)and Vanderbilt ’s Anders Oding (6-1,6-2) on final weekend of regular sea- son...Clinched UF ’s win over Kentucky in the SEC Tournament with a three-set victory over Jorge Mario Escallon...Earned clincher in UF ’s NCAA second round win over UA B with a 6-2,6-3 victory over Paul Shovlin …Also posted a three-set win over USC ’s Parker Collins in UF ’s NCAA Round of 16 win.
