Fall 2008: Was ranked the preseason No. 10 doubles tandem in the country with teammate Oleksandr Nedovyesov ... the duo played strongly throughout the fall season qualifying for the ITA Indoor National Championships with a victory at the 2008 Wilson/ITA Central Region Championships 

Junior: Was solid at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 singles for the Cowboys as a junior ... finished 9-10 overall in singles play, including a 2-1 mark at No. 3, a 4-7 mark at No. 4 and a 3-2 mark at No. 5 ... much of his success came in doubles play where he and teammate Oleksandr Nedovyesov clinched the Big 12 title, finishing the conference regular season with a flawless 6-0 mark ... the dup earned an at-large bid to the doubles championships with a 16-4 record and the 18th spot in the rankings heading into the NCAA Tournament.

Sophomore: Provided stability at the bottom of OSU’s singles lineup by going 11-7, mostly at No. 6 singles ... won his only match at No. 4 singles ... went 2-1 playing No. 5 singles at National Indoors, including an upset of No. 83 Mark Spicijaric of Illinois ... longest win streak of the season was five ... teamed with Artie Burmistrau to go 9-10 at No. 2 doubles ... the pair notched two wins over top-25 tandems ... best winning streak this season was five.

Finished the fall with a 2-4 singles record ... went 0-2 in the pre qualifying rounds of the Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Championships .. went 2-2 at the Central Region Championships ... narrowly lost to No. 78-ranked Adrian Szatmary, 7-4, 7-6 (0) ... teamed with brother, Daniel, to go 4-2 in doubles play ... the pair entered the fall ranked No. 8 in the country ... advanced to the semifinals at the Central Region Championships but had to injury default because of Daniel’s back ... will enter the spring ranked as the fifth best doubles team in the Central Region.

Freshman:
Compiled a 7-2 record during his first season in Stillwater ... compiled a 6-2 record at No. 6 singles and a 1-0 record at No. 4 singles ... defeated Baylor’s Vladimir Portnov, 7-5, 7-5, at the Big 12 Championships ... made an immediate impact on the double’s lineup were he teamed with brother Daniel to form the Cowboy’s top doubles team ... the pair had an 11-7 record, all coming at No. 1 doubles ... the brothers finished the season ranked No. 33 ... also were selected to the All-Big 12 team ... defeated TCU’s No. 27-ranked pair of Abreu and Freitas, 7-4 ... also picked up a big win over Texas’ No. 29-ranked duo of Callum Beale and Miguel Varela, 8-5 ... also paired with Oleksandr Kotsiuk to go 1-1.

Before OSU:
Attended high school at St. Kevin's College ... accomplishments include under 16 Australian Claycourt Championships runner-up, represented Victoria at No. 1 in winning Sproulel Stephens Cup and Top 15 Australian junior.

Personal:
Son of Garry and Deborah Byrnes... has two brothers: Daniel and Jarryd and a sister Lauren ... hobbies include AFL football, movies and hanging out with friends ... chose OSU because of his brother Daniel, who is on the team, and because of the tennis program under coach Wadley ... currently undecided on major ... favorite movies are Old School and Wedding Crashers ... favorite music artists are James Blunt, The Used and Powderfinger ... favorite athletes are Michael Jordan, Lance Armstrong and Pat Rafter.
